The concept behind the name The Gong, as you might have wondered, is built on the African traditional tool for drawing the attention of the community, at points when very crucial normative needed to be communicated to members of the African community.
This practice predated the emergence of modern technology and the current modes and development in the ICT world. Specifically, in Africa, the sound of the gong compels attention as it is a mark of existing instructions from instituted authorities within a given community.
Today, the story is really a different one. However, the choice of name is expected to stand as a symbol for the reenactment of the core African heritage which faded away in the face of modernity.
Here in my world, we tap into the unending power inherent in information for the purpose of empowering the public, which of curse includes you, psychologically, socially, economically, career-wise, health-wise and wealth-wise.
